Looking for advanced lifesaving skills and a higher level of challenge in an exciting part of the medical field? Are you currently licensed as a Wisconsin EMT - Basic, and are you affiliated with an approved EMT - Intermediate Technician service? Licensure as an EMT - Intermediate Technician means you are qualified to initiate intravenous therapy and administer selected medications - making you more versatile in your field. You will develop more sophisticated emergency treatment skills including assessment skills and medication administration. You will perform a variety of patient assessments and skills including intravenous and intramuscular injections on real patients. The program is approved by the Wisconsin Bureau of Local Health Support and EMS.

Program-Specific Requirements
- Currently be licensed as a Wisconsin EMT-Basic
- Be affiliated with an EMT - Intermediate Technician service approved by the Wisconsin Bureau of Local Health Support and EMS or approval from Training Center Medical Director
- Provide a letter of authorization from the Medical Director to attend class
- Have proof of insurance coverage for clinical training for EMT - Intermediate Technician
- Complete a health form and immunization history
- Attend program orientation
