Technical College, a technical college in the Wisconsin Technical College

Association of Colleges and Schools. WITC is a member of the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools.
What are the Higher Learning Commission and the North Central Association?
The North Central Association was founded in 1895 as a membership
organization for educational institutions. It is committed to developing and
maintaining high standards of excellence, and is one of six regional
institutional accrediting associations in the United States. Through its Higher
Learning Commission, it accredits and thereby grants membership to colleges and
universities in the 19-state North Central region.

Definition and standards
WITC meets established
standards and is approved for the instruction of veterans, orphans of war
veterans, state and federal rehabilitation students, and members of the
workforce needing training or retraining. WITC meets the definition of an
institution of higher education, and students are entitled to participate in
federal financial assistance programs.
