College Credit for your High School Courses

EARN YOUR DEGREE FASTER AND SAVE MONEY BY MAXIMIZING CREDIT FOR WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW

Many high schools have opportunities in place that allow you to gain college-level learning to finish your degree as efficiently and affordably as possible. If your high school has the opportunities listed below in place, you can do just that!

Advanced Placement (AP) Exams

If you completed an advanced placement exam, request a sealed transcript of the test results from the testing agency and have them sent to WITC for a review to determine if credit toward your program can be awarded. Click on the link above to see how AP test scores transfer for WITC courses.

Advanced Standing

Advanced standing agreements may be developed when high school course(s) are recognized as equivalent to technical college course(s). You may receive credit toward your program if your high school had an advanced standing agreement in place and you meet the conditions of the agreement. Request a copy of your high school transcript and have it sent to WITC to initiate the process of receiving advanced standing for coursework completed.

View the state-wide list of advanced standing agreements by high school. Advanced standing agreements with other Wisconsin Technical Colleges may also be accepted.
