Requesting Official Transcripts
WITC has retained Credentials, Inc. to accept official transcript orders over the Internet via a secured site. Official WITC transcripts are printed on security paper, which includes tests for authenticity.
WITC will issue official transcripts to the student in a sealed envelope with the words “unofficial if seal is broken” written across the envelope flap, mailed in an individually sealed college envelope. The official transcript should remain in the unopened, sealed envelope until it is presented to the employer, institution or scholarship provider. Official transcripts bear the electronic signature of the registrar and do not require a raised seal.
There are two ways in which you can order an official transcript from WITC, over the Internet, or in-person. The quickest and most convenient way to request an official transcript is to order it over the Internet. When placing an Internet order you will need to specify either an Undergraduate Credit Transcript or Continuing Education (ACE/Hourly) Transcript.
Not sure which transcript type to order?
An undergraduate (UGRD) transcript will contain financial aid-eligible courses as part of a declared major or program (associate degree, two-year technical diploma, one-year technical diploma, and less-than-one-year technical diploma – such as EMT-Basic or Certified Nursing Assistant).
A continuing education (CNED) transcript will contain personal and professional development short-term training courses (often regulated by the state) to meet specialized industry certification and licensure requirements. Courses may include CPR, Fire Training, First Aid, Responsible Beverage Service, Insurance, Real Estate, Computer, Child Care and Motorcycle Safety.
You can also obtain an unofficial transcript (free of charge), for more information, click here.
To use this service, payment must be made by credit or debit card and you must have an e-mail address. If you don’t have a major credit/debit card, you may use a prepaid debit card. Your order will be processed upon request unless you have requested that it be held for degree or grade posting. Financial obligations to the college must be cleared before a transcript will be issued.

You may be required to provide WITC with a signed form authorizing release of your academic transcript before WITC can process your transcript order. Some orders may qualify for "Automatic Authorization" without your signature. To qualify for "Automatic Authorization," your order must meet the following criteria:
- Attended WITC from 2003 to the present
- The billing name on the credit card you use to pay for this order matches both your name on this order and your name in WITC’s records
- Three of the following - Name, Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Student ID Number - must match the values in WITC’s records
- There are no attachments that need to be included with your transcript
Credentials will notify you when your order has been successfully authorized. If your order cannot be automatically authorized, Credentials will e-mail you an Authorization Form that must be signed and either mailed or faxed back to the address or fax number listed on the form before your order can be completed (this process may take an additional 2-3 days to complete your request). Any e-mail you receive from Credentials regarding the Authorization Form will also include a link giving you the option of scanning and uploading your signed form via Credentials Self-Service Plus.
Regular service orders are processed in 1-2 business days, not including: mailing time, holidays, weekends or manual authorization. During peak times such as finals week or at the end or beginning of a semester, processing time is 5-7 days from the date WITC receives your request. Please plan accordingly when requesting transcripts.
There is a $6 fee per transcript for this service. Same day in-person pickup and express delivery options are also available for an additional fee. Same day in-person pickup and express delivery orders must be ordered and authorized by 11:00 a.m. to ensure same day processing. Please read the order form carefully and fill out all required fields. To authorize someone else to pick up your transcript, you must provide their name in your request. Photo identification is required at the time pick up is made.
