Liz Van Hooser

College Health Nurse, Nursing Assistant Instructor

Biography

Liz Van Hooser is a College Health Nurse and Nursing Assistant Instructor at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College’s Ashland campus.

She is certified as a Public Health Nurse by the state of Wisconsin. Liz is also certified by the Wisconsin Board of Technical Education as an Instructor and ATODA Facilitator. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in College Health Nursing and by the Wisconsin Certification Board as a Prevention Specialist. Her work experience includes hospital nursing, clinic nursing, and home care with a background as a diabetic nurse educator.

Liz teaches because she can make a positive difference in students’ lives by creating a welcoming, safe and fun environment in which all learning styles are included.

Her hobbies include reading, cooking, swimming, kayaking and spending time with family and friends.
