Amanda Abrahamson is a health information technology and medical coding specialist instructor at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College's New Richmond campus.
She has worked for a large acute care hospital and also for a smaller community hospital. Amanda has worked very closely in the areas of health information management, document imaging, coding, release of information, chart completion, transcription, electronic health record systems and privacy and security. She is excited to put these experiences and information together for the HIT/MCS programs while passing along the knowledge to help others be prepared and successful in the field.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her kids and reading.
