Biography
Dan Wilkinson is a Welding instructor at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College’s New Richmond campus. He also teaches classes in blueprint reading, general safety, forklift safety, artistic welding and welding for mechanics.
Following his completion of a welding program at WITC Superior in 1976, Dan spent more than 10 years as a full-time certified welder at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, American Hoist and Derrick, Fraser Shipyards, Jim’s Welding and numerous other locations throughout the Duluth, Minn., and Superior area.
After gaining a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in safety at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Dan worked six years as a manufacturing/welding engineer in Rice Lake, and taught welding and safety classes at WITC Rice Lake.
Dan’s work and educational experiences have combined to give him a unique and complete perspective of the needs of the welding industry.
He is also an AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
