Kimberly K. McDonald comes to WITC with a master’s degree in social work and over 19 years of experience working in the field of human services. Throughout this experience, McDonald has performed multiple job responsibilities focused on the complex needs of providing geriatric resources and mental health services. In a complex field such as gerontology, McDonald believes that WITC’s gerontology program will prepare student to gain increased understanding, knowledge and hands-on skills to work in a rapidly growing field.
McDonald’s goal is to collaborate with her students in their academic journey and assist in facilitating a learning environment that empowers the students. She is excited to participate fully in her student’s learning experience as she considers herself a passionate lifelong learner.
In her spare time, McDonald enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors, whether it be biking, horseback riding, fishing, gardening, paddle boarding, hiking or hockey.
