Biography

Kathy Riemer is a College Health Nurse at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College's Rice Lake campus.

Her work experience includes hospital nursing including cardiac intensive care, nursing home, clinic nursing, Barron County Public Health Nurse, PTA President and Wellness Coach facilitator with Health Cumberland’s Diabetic Prevention Program groups.

She has since been certified as a Public Health Nurse by the state of Wisconsin, an alcohol and other drug abuse (ATODA) prevention facilitator/professional, Certified Prevention Professional (CPP), motivational interview training and a Wellness Coach with Guiding Mindful Change.

Kathy believes in guiding mindful change in our lives by providing students with lifelong learning tools from the Wellness Wheel concept.

She enjoys reading, gardening, walking, yoga, strength training, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
