Biography

Kathy Kitter-Carey is a Nursing Assistant - Basic instructor at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College’s Superior campus.

Her work experience has been extremely people oriented and includes duties as a staff nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director of nursing, staff development coordinator and nursing assistant instructor, while her ADN education was very clinically focused. This combination, along with years of experience, has provided Kathy the needed confidence to work with students in the classroom, lab and clinical settings and now be a part of the overall program direction.

Kathy spends all of her free time with family, some of the time on the Minong Flowage, where she lives with her husband or at other times at her son’s house helping with a remodeling project or enjoying one of his special dinners. Her family also has a collection of dogs, which are always a part of it all.
