Seminars and workshops teach skills of all types — interpersonal, leadership, quality improvement, or computer technology skills. Others are industry specific, small business, health care, or telecommunications. WITC offers a wide variety of seminars and workshops for your continuing education. Office Professional Seminar, Wednesday, April 23, WITC-Rice Lake

Featured speaker is Marni Bekkedal, a Ph.D. neuroscientist with expertise in brain chemistry and the processing of emotions, who will be speaking about how our brains deal with difficult people. By providing participants with a strong understanding of how the brain influences emotions and behaviors, her workshop will motivate them to take charge of their lives and be good leaders for those around them.

The day also includes continental breakfast, lunch and breakout sessions in the afternoon.

Assistive Technology Conference, April 26 - 27, 2008 WITC Superior, WisconsinAssistive Technology Conference - April 25-26, 2008, WITC-Superior

Assistive technology is any device, item, piece of equipment or service that can be used to help maintain or improve the functional abilities of children and adults with disabilities. Attendees will learn valuable information and gain hands-on opportunities that will help you successfully incorporate assistive technology into the daily lives of children and adults.
