WITC offers continuing education for cosmetologists. Classes offered include updates on the latest trends and styles, as well as state required continuing education hours.

Excerpt from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services website:

March 2017 Renewal

For the March 2017 license renewal, license holders must complete 4 hours of approved continuing education in order to renew their active license (1 hour in laws and 3 hours in safety, sanitation an infection control). The CE must be completed during the time period from 4/1/2015 to 3/31/2017.

NOTE:  If you were issued your license for the first time on or after 4/1/2015, you are not required to complete any continuing education for the 3/31/2017 license renewal. Click on the following link to access the rule adopted by the Cosmetology Examining Board about CE requirements:

For the March 2015 license renewal, licensees will be required to complete 4 total hours of approved CE; 1 hour in laws governing licensees and establishments and 3 hours in safety, sanitation and infection control.
