Upcoming WITC Events for High School Staff

Counselor Externships
Middle School and High School Counselors are invited to spend 40 hours at a WITC Campus. Application to participate will be sent out to all eligible counselors. For further information, contact Barb Landstrom. This event is sponsored by the Career Prep grant.

 

Educator Externships
Middle School, High School and WITC instructors, counselors, and administrators are invited to spend up to 5 days at a local Business or Industry site. This experience will help educators make connections between the world of work and what happens in classrooms and will help prepare students to be successful in exciting and rewarding careers available to them right in their own communities. Invitations to participate in the 2012 Summer Business and Industry Externships will be mailed in the spring. This event is sponsored in part by the Career Prep grant.

Spring Counselor Workshop
An annual event that features initiatives significant to Northwest Wisconsin K-12 and technical college counselors. This event is sponsored by the Career Prep grant.

Facilitating the Future
An annual professional development opportunity for local educators. For more information go to www.facilitatingthefuture.org  This event is sponsored in part by the Career Prep grant.
