Special events sponsored by staff, alumni and friends at each WITC campus raise funds for scholarships and other needs at WITC.

Alumni Golfing at Foundation Golf EventWITC Ashland 'Golf for Scholarships'

The "Golf for Scholarships" event raises money for scholarships for WITC Ashland students. The four-person scramble is held on a Monday in June at the Chequamegon Bay Golf Course in Ashland. Teams compete for prizes in three divisions, plus the chance to win a new car. Proximity, raffle and team prizes are awarded at the evening banquet. Registration is $300/team or $75/person, and includes 18 holes of golf, greens fees, golf cart, lunch, door prizes and dinner. Wine Tasting Event at Ashland CampusWITC Ashland Taste of the Vineyards

This third annual event is held in the spring and raises money for scholarships for WITC Ashland students.  This year's wine and beer tasting will be held on Friday, April 8 at the WITC Conference Center in Ashland.  Included in the event is wine and beer sampling, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, and mystery bags.  Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and are available at WITC, Star Liquor, Ashland Chamber of Commerce, Northern State Bank, or by contacting Deb Ellefson at 715.682.4591, ext. 3113.
 

 

Two Golfers at New Richmond Fun-Driver Golf EventWITC New Richmond Fun-Driver Golf for Scholarships

This four-person scramble is held each June at Bristol Ridge Golf Club, Somerset. Proximity prizes, door prizes and raffles provide revenue for scholarships for WITC New Richmond students. Registration is $75 per person, or $280 per team. Price includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, greens fees, registration packet, meal, prizes and team photo. Wine Tasting Event at New Richmond CampusWITC New Richmond Taste of the Vineyards

The 3rd annual Taste of the Vineyards Wine and Beer Tasting Event for scholarships is Thursday, October 6, at Kovaleskis’ Willow Ridge Gardens in New Richmond. All money raised goes toward scholarships for WITC-New Richmond students. Included in the event are wine and beer samplings, hors d'oeuvres, live music, and a silent auction. WITC Foundation Fishing Tournament on Long Lake near Rice Lake, Wisconsin

WITC Rice Lake Fishing Tournament

Long Lake in Washburn County is the site for this one-day fishing tournament held each year in May. Prizes are given for the largest fish in three categories. The event culminates with an evening banquet at Greener’s Reel-Em Inn, during which contest participants have an opportunity to win door and raffle prizes. The event is being held on Sunday, May 22, 2011, and raises funds for scholarships for area high school seniors who will be attending WITC Rice Lake. WITC Rice Lake Taste of the Vineyards

This annual event is held in the spring and raises money for scholarships for WITC Rice Lake students. This year's wine tasting will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Lehman's Supper Club in Rice Lake and includes wine & beer sampling, hors d'oeuvres, as well as LIVE and SILENT auctions. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and are available at WITC, Lehman's, Marketplace or Drag's in Rice Lake or by contacting Lori Bowman at 715.234.7082, ext. 5335.

 

WITC Superior Alumni/Foundation Golf Tournament

This five-person scramble held the first Friday in August at the Nemadji Golf Course in Superior raises money for scholarships and other programs sponsored by the WITC Superior Alumni Association. Teams compete for prizes in five divisions. Numerous proximity, raffle and door prizes are awarded at the evening banquet. Registration fee is $35 per person or $175 per team, not including green fee and cart rental.
