have set up graduate programs and research centers
around the growing interest in homeland security.
United Nations Office on Drug and Crime,
Created in 1997
with an international mandate, the United Nations
Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has around 500
staff members working in 21 field offices across the
world. Their basic mission is to “assist Member
States in their struggle against illicit drugs,
crime and terrorism.”
