(4/26/12): Several Ashland area childcare agencies can let their kids be a little more creative this spring. Students from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Ashland’s early childhood education program donated large totes filled with a variety of art supplies – everything an artistic tot could want from chalk to crayons, construction paper to glue.

The art supplies were donated to Tree Top Child Care Center, Family Forum Head Start, Happy Hearts Child Care, Home Sweet Home Daycare and Trinity Daycare of Hurley. According to Holly Evensen of Family Forum Head Start, "The children are going to love using their creativity and imagination with the items.”

Students who assemble the kits are front from left, Kathryn Stipetich, Breanna Motel, Arianne Pellinen, Bryanna Young and ECE instructor Kari Merritt. In the back are Heather Geltz, Sara Babcock, Danielle Leciejewski, Kortney Drake, Amber Schmit, Marissa Mountain, Cara VanNess and Kara Hoffman.
