Free adult basic education classes offered throughout region

(1/25/13): Free basic education classes for adults are available through Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.  Brush up on the basic skills reading, English, grammar, science, social studies, and math needed to continue your education or enter the workforce with confidence. Classes are also appropriate for those who are preparing to earn their GED/HSED. Most courses are self-paced with instructor assistance, and students can enroll at any time during the term, which ends May 15, 2013.

Classes will be held at the following locations and times:

WITC-Ashland Student Success Center with instructors Kary Reinerio and Theresa Beckman. Open lab is scheduled for Mondays, 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. Instructor-based classes are available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Hurley High School with instructor Kevin Genisot on Wednesdays, 4-7 p.m.

Red Cliff Early Childhood Center with instructor Theresa Beckman on Wednesdays, 11-2 p.m.
