Meyer honored for service to college

WITC President Bob Meyer, second from left, is presented an award by the legislature for his service to the college by Senator Bob Jauch. Also present were Representative Stephen Smith, left, and Representative Janet Bewley.

(6/17/14): At the June meeting of the WITC Board of Trustees, outgoing WITC President Bob Meyer was honored by the state legislature for his years of service to the college.

Meyer's leadership, which helped WITC to three top 10 rankings in Washington Monthly Magazine, his advocacy on behalf of the college and the two-year system, and his nearly three decades of experience with the University of Wisconsin-Stout were all remarked upon.

On hand to present the award were Senator Bob Jauch and Representatives Janet Bewley and Stephen Smith.

In May, Meyer announced his acceptance of the position of Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He will remain with WITC until August 16. The college has since named John Will as his successor.
