WITC medical assistants recognized

This year, WITC’s medical assistant students created a display on WITC's New Richmond campus to illustrate the many aspects of health care.

(11/3/14): Every year, the medical assistant students at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College celebrate Medical Assistants Recognition Week in October, as designated by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

This year, WITC’s medical assistant students created a display on WITC's New Richmond campus to illustrate the many aspects of health care.

“Medical assistants are members of the health care delivery team and perform administrative and clinical procedures,” says WITC instructor Kim Suo. “Because of their versatility, medical assistants continue to be a popular career.”

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, medical assisting is projected to be one of fastest-growing occupations.
