Bednarik named Student Ambassador

someone whose family history is entwined with community colleges, that's

Psychologist helping counsel northwestern Wisconsin farmers

(9/2/2010) RICE LAKE, Wis. (Wisconsin Public Radio) Two farm management
instructors say they’re spending plenty of time counseling the farmers they
work with. They say because they’re not qualified for that task, they’re
bringing in national expert Val Farmer to help farmers deal with stress
during trying times. Farmer, a nationally-known psychologist and columnist,
is coming to Rice Lake on September 8 to talk to farmers about how to handle
stress during trying times. His arrival will be a relief to farm
management instructor Jerry Ranallo, who teaches at Wisconsin Indianhead
Technical College.

Love Lights the Season

With 342 bulbs lighting an outdoor Christmas
tree, the annual Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Love Lights
Ceremony set a record for lights intended to honor living persons, military
service members and deceased loved ones. The event was attended by community
members from the area and included a performance by the Northwoods Choir
Ensemble, made up of WITC Outreach members from Cornucopia. Proceeds from
the event are used for WITC scholarships.
