Program Outcomes

Employers will expect you, as an Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing Technician graduate, to be able to:

• Make repairs on plastic, sheet metal, and fiberglass body parts using the appropriate techniques and materials.
• Straighten damage to body panels using hand tools and power equipment.
• Use MIG welding to repair and replace auto body panels.
• Use refinishing equipment to repair and paint vehicles including surface preparation and masking.
• Estimate collision damage repair costs.
• Color and blend automobile panels.
• Adjust/replace bolt-on parts, bumpers, fenders, doors, and hood, etc.
• Diagnose and make electrical repairs.
• Restore corrosion protection.
