Program Outcomes
Employers will expect you, as an Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing Technician graduate, to be able to:- Make repairs on plastic, sheet metal, and fiberglass body parts using the appropriate techniques and materials.
- Straighten damage to body panels using hand tools and power equipment.
- Use MIG welding to repair and replace auto body panels.
- Use refinishing equipment to repair and paint vehicles including surface preparation and masking.
- Estimate collision damage repair costs.
- Color and blend automobile panels.
- Adjust/replace bolt-on parts, bumpers, fenders, doors, and hood, etc.
- Diagnose and make electrical repairs.
- Restore corrosion protection.
