• Vehicle identification, estimating, and terminology

Program Outcomes

• Make repairs on plastic, sheet metal, and fiberglass body parts using the appropriate techniques and materials
• Straighten damage to body panels using hand tools and power equipment
• Use MIG welding to repair and replace auto body panels
• Use refinishing equipment to repair and paint vehicles including surface preparation and masking
• Estimate collision damage repair costs
• Color and blend automobile panels
• Adjust/replace bolt-on parts, bumpers, fenders, doors, and hood, etc
• Diagnose and make electrical repairs
• Restore corrosion protection
