Mechatronics is the integration of computer, electrical and mechanical components that are coordinated by a control system. Combining robotic technologies and devices make for simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile commercial and industrial products.
Partnering with Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), WITC is able to bring the latest technologies and techniques to the classroom. PMMI is developing a series of certifications that focus on four key areas relevant to Mechatronics including mechanical, electronical, controls, and computer science. WITC will provide the education students need to master the skills and PMMI will, when available, conduct the skills assessment, through testing for interested students.
