Real Experience

WITC students will work with clients from the community in an on-site salon located at WITC. Students gain experience in a wide range of beauty services such as shampooing, cutting, coloring and styling of hair. Clients can choose other services as well such as waxes, pedicures, manicures, and facials. In addition to work with clients, students learn to order products, maintain business records and make appointments.

SkillsUSA competition for students is held annually in April. Students have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in haircutting, hair styling and long hair design in four separate tests. Winners advance to a national competition.
