This course is designed to introduce students to the concept of Voice Over IP (VOIP) and to give students the chance to build a basic VOIP system in a mixed classroom and lab environment. Students will use IP telephones, analog telephones, and voice gateways to design and build and manage a working VOIP telephone system. Cisco equipment and the call manager are used in the course. A background in routing and switch or telecommunications is recommended before taking this course. This course will cover topics related to the CISCO CCNA voice certification.
