Looking for advanced lifesaving skills and a higher level of challenge in an exciting part of the medical field? Are you currently licensed as a Wisconsin EMT - Basic, and are you affiliated with an approved EMT - Intermediate Technician service? Licensure as an EMT - Intermediate Technician means you are qualified to initiate intravenous therapy and administer selected medications - making you more versatile in your field. You will develop more sophisticated emergency treatment skills including assessment skills and medication administration. You will perform a variety of patient assessments and skills including intravenous and intramuscular injections on real patients. The program is approved by the Wisconsin Bureau of Local Health Support and EMS and Ambulance Service Medical Director.
