Machine Tool Technician Program

Graduates in machining occupations may work as a machine operator, apprentice or journeyman in a maintenance shop, machine shop, or tool and die shop. A machine tool technician will read and interpret blueprints, develop a plan of machining operations, and use measuring and hand tools to make precise machined products.

Schedule time to visit the program to observe and talk with Machine Tool Technician students and experienced instructors, Bob Triplett, Ken Jones and Jon Willoughby. Their input can help you make the best decision about your future career.

Supplies are required for the Machine Tool Technician program that are not covered in normal program costs. View a list of  Metrology Tools required for students attending the Rice Lake Campus.  Students attending the Superior Campus are provided a basic set of metrology tools for the first year and will be required to purchase tools for the second year of the program.
