Marketing Program Internships

Internship with the Duluth News Tribune

Lucy's internship at Duluth News Tribune in the Sales Department gave her an appreciation for the industry.  She was involved in preparing special features and was able to follow the project through to publication. The internship was a learning experience that will stay with her throughout her career in Marketing Sales.

Steph interned in the Marketing Department at St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic Health System where she found a great opportunity. She was able to job shadow everyone in the marketing, public relations and marketing research departments. This helped her envision how different roles interacted with each other and the number of different career opportunities there are in the field of marketing. She helped with big projects and small ones, but at the end of day she always left SMDC Health System feeling like her work might have made a positive difference in somebody's life.

Interning with Minnesota Power/Allete gave Tess the opportunity to utilize her hard work and dedication in a professional setting. She also gained experience in learning new lessons. Since graduating from WITC, Tess has completed her Bachelor's degree at UW-River Falls, which included a semester abroad in Spain.

For Dan, learning the fundamentals in class was one thing, but having the opportunity to see them in action while interning at Cirrus Design in Duluth, Minn., was another. This experience truly brought the knowledge home for him.

Rachel assisted the Superior Douglas County Chamber of Commerce by helping to create a new Visitor's Guide in collaboration with the Superior Douglas County Leadership Program.

"Doing my internship with the Chamber helped me to take what I have learned in class, and experience it in a professional work environment,” Rachel says. “Everyone was so nice to work with. They made me feel welcomed."
