With a two-year degree, students position themselves for advancement into middle management, paramedic care administration, dispatchers, helicopter and flight crew and other opportunities (are for either one year or two year graduates) that become available.

EMT’s and paramedics are employed in a number of industries such as ambulance services, local government and hospitals.

Job prospects are good locally as many graduates find employment with local agencies.

Employment of emergency medical technicians and paramedics is expected to grow 9 percent between 2008 and 2018. Growth is partially due to the increasing call volume for the aging population. (Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010–11 Edition)
