Paramedic Technician Program
Obtaining pre-hospital experience in a field or clinical setting is an excellent
opportunity for Paramedic students to learn while developing their skills in a
practical application, real-world environment.
The paramedic students must meet State competency requirements in the
following areas to successfully complete the clinical portion of the course:
- Patient Assessment
- IV Insertion
- Basic Airway Management Skills
- Endotracheal Intubation
- Medication Administration
- Field Observer
- Field Team Member
- Field Team Leader
The clinical training experience required is presented in the DOT EMT-Paramedic
curriculum and the Minimum Skills Competencies set forth by the Department of
Health and Family Services, EMS Section.
