The Paramedic Technician program offers students the opportunity to further their professional EMS careers by pursuing a two-year associate degree, which includes general studies courses. The program is based upon the U.S. DOT Administration/Wisconsin Bureau of Local Health Support and EMS Curriculum - Paramedic Technician Curriculum. It prepares the student with the knowledge and skills to work competently as an EMT-Paramedic. The program consists of classroom lectures, practical skills labs, laboratory simulations, and hospital and pre-hospital clinical experiences. It offers additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation.

Program-Specific Requirements
- Complete a background check form.
- Be a high school graduate or have equivalent (HSED, GED, home schooling record).
- Complete "CPR for Health Care Providers."
- Have a valid EMT license and one year of EMT service or 50 ambulance runs.
- Complete a health, immunization history, and physical forms.
- Have one year of high school chemistry or one semester of college-level chemistry with "C-" or better.
