Are you curious about a career in Telecommunications? Graduates are skilled in a variety of areas including DSL/cable modem installation, fiber optics splicing, installation and troubleshooting, cable TV installation and troubleshooting, PC maintenance and basic IP networking, IP video installations, security systems installations as well as wireless installation and maintenance.

This program shares common curriculum with the Telecommunications Technician one-year program. The second year defines the technologies portion of the program as students learn advanced skills in security protection, fiber optics, IP networks (including IP phones), fiber design and PBX installation.  A two-year degree broadens job possibilities and improves earning potential.

Because this program is unique in Wisconsin and only offered at WITC, demand for graduates is high. Companies that employ our graduates include CenturyLink, Charter Communications, Comcast, Chibardun Telephone, Time-Warner, Alltel, AT&T, and many other companies throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota.
