In just one year, you will be ready to enter the dynamic field of telecommunications where you can explore new and emerging technologies. Students will learn to set up and troubleshoot equipment used in five basic areas: telecommunication electronics, cable splicing (coaxial, twisted pair, and fiber optic), print reading, installation of customer equipment, and plant construction practices (aerial and buried cables and equipment). Computer skills, mathematics, safety, and customer relations are also emphasized in the program.
