The WITC-Rice Lake Conference Center is a meeting facility dedicated to creating a quality environment for educational business meetings. It provides for WITC's specially scheduled classes and events, and also serves a wide variety of business, government, community groups, and federal and state agencies.
Events may not be in competition with WITC programming. The Conference Center, WITC Campus buildings and grounds are tobacco, drug and alcohol free. WITC shall not be responsible for the loss, theft or damage to personal property nor for personal injury resulting from the conduct of activities under direction of users. Any organization or group using WITC property shall be responsible for any damage to property during the period of use. Seating arrangements and room assignments may be modified according to the number of participants and the availability of rooms.
FACILITY USAGE POLICY
The Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Board supports and encourages the use of its facilities. These facilities may be made available to outside groups provided their use is consistent with this policy.
Types of Facilities AvailableConference Center Facilities
Regional campuses/College Administration Office will maintain local procedures, service fees and food service arrangements unique to that location.
Available for outside group usage when not scheduled for WITC classes; during the normal work week and requiring no special arrangement or clean up for a fee of $20 for 1-4 hours, and $40 for 4-8 hours
Charges for use of college facilities, services, and property are defined in the administrative procedure entitled, "Facility Usage Fees."
Facility Use by Outside Groups
The College President/Director shall be authorized to grant use of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College buildings on behalf of the Board. Use of facilities by private individuals or outside groups shall not be for private gain. This includes private educational activities for profit except in special circumstances which prove advantageous to the college. Use of facilities by business, industry, and other groups promoting economic development is deemed appropriate.
The use of College facilities for solicitation of political contributions is strictly prohibited by state law.
The authorized use of College facilities for any non-college activity in no way constitutes an endorsement of the organization using the facilities nor the content of the programs or activities conducted.
Reservation request forms for facility usage are available at each WITC regional campus and the WITC College Administrative Office upon request.
