Superior Campus
ABSENCE PROCESS
Faculty and staff are asked to call in to the switchboard as soon as is possible to report their absence. Faculty should contact
students when they are unable to teach class due to illness etc., if at all possible. Time off work (vacation, sick, personal
leave, bereavement) must be entered into the absence/leave system through etimesheets. See Char
Utyro, Administrative Specialist/Supervisor, for instructions.
ACTIVITY HOURS
Activity hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 - 12:20 during
the school year.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Each program has an advisory committee that provides input on curriculum-related decisions.
BUILDING HOURS
Building hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sunday schedules vary so please check
campus calendar.
BUSINESS CARDS AND NAME TAGS
Business cards and name tags are ordered through the Shell Lake location twice a year. Char
Utyro, Administrative Specialist/Supervisor, will send out an all-staff email when we are ready to place orders.

COMPUTER WORK REQUESTS
For computer/technical assistance please call the 24/7 Help Desk at Ext. 7300 or 1-800-235-9500. Technical issues that can
not be addressed at the level one help desk will be addressed by the appropriate local staff member. Gerry
Suomala and Steve Paplior are the Superior Network Technicians.
COPIES
Linda Bergstrom will gladly make any copies needed. Linda
can be reached at extension 6269 for all of your photocopying needs.
DROP/ADD REFERRALS
Student Referral forms and Course Change forms can be found in
Student Services.
Please follow directions for the completion of this form.
EMAIL
Email will be set up by the Shell Lake office for any fulltime staff/faculty. If you are part time and need email, please advise your dean.
EMERGENCY PROCESSES
There are emergency processes followed at each WITC location. Please make sure you have a copy of the procedures and review them
carefully.

INSERVICE/STAFF MEETINGS
All staff meetings are regularly scheduled for the first Thursday of the month from 11:30 - 12:20 p.m.
KEYS
Once you begin your employment, Char Utyro -
Administrative Specialist/Supervisor - will give you the appropriate keys needed. Key fobs for after-hours
entrance should be coordinated through your supervisor. Pete Gamache, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, will issue these
fobs.
MAILBOX
Char Utyro -
Administrative Specialist/Supervisor - will have the mailroom assign a mailbox for you once you begin work.

MANAGER ON DUTY
During the school year check with student services for manager on
duty. During summer hours, due to limited classes, there is no manager on duty.
OFFICE AREAS
Office areas will be assigned to you by your supervisor. Once your area is assigned, Char Utyro,
Administrative Specialist/Supervisor, can set
you up with keys, and give you instructions on setting up your voicemail.
OFFICE SUPPLIES
Office supplies such as paper, paper clips, scissors, and notepads can be found in the Duplication area. Contact Linda Bergstrom for any specific needs you may have.

employees. Voicemail instructions can be obtained from Char Utyro,
Administrative Specialist/Supervisor, at extension 6209.
REGISTRATION
Registration is now online. Individuals having problems online should contact Student Services
at extension 6282 if they are unable to access the WITC Superior webpage to complete the process.
SCHOOL CLOSING
School closings due to inclement weather and or other reasons are announced on all of the local television stations as
well as on local radio. All employees are also on a school closing call list. These lists will be completed and handed
out in the fall - shortly after the start of school.
STUDENT ADVISING
Mary Frostman and Kent Lundahl
are the counselors on the Superior Campus.
TEACHING LEARNING CENTER
The Learning Resource Center supports the Teacher's Learning Center (TLC) in the first floor faculty office area by providing instructional support on Microsoft Office Suite and other technologies. Inquire at the Learning Resource Center located on the second floor for supplemental instructional equipment such as lamination services, laptops, digital cameras and camcorders. Additionally, LRC Technicians
Dianne Mencel (x. 6611) and
Adam Brisk (x. 6610) provide in-class support for audio visual support in addition to traditional and non-traditional library services such as books, DVDs, streaming video, scanning and digitization, and reference and research.
VENDING/FOOD
Life's A Picnic supplies the vending as well as the
Lunch Express
and catering
needs and express lunch for faculty, staff and students. Vending machines are in the atrium near the Lunch Express.
