"The most interesting part of this program is being able to work on high-value equipment that improves the lives of people across the world."

After graduating from WITC in the Automated Packaging Systems Technician program, Jeff Steen worked as a field service technician providing professional support for people across the world. His unique background as a past WITC student with experience in environmental science and working in the public sector provides valuable insight for WITC students.
In a field that deals primarily with technology, Jeff believes that students will find it rewarding to witness first-hand the ever-evolving changes in technology that makes our world a better place to live. Students in this program will be able to work on high-value equipment that is being used in the industry today.
Jeff pursued teaching because he wanted to give back to WITC since his experience at the college was a big turning point in his life. In the classroom, his goal is to keep students engaged by building off of their existing knowledge and allowing them to work together to form teamwork skills, which is essential in the workforce.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys fat biking in the snow and dirt with his border collie. He also enjoys making all types of food on his charcoal grill and discovering mid-century pieces to populate his '60s inspired home.
