"I love to see concepts learned in early childhood education courses positively transferred into the classrooms and then out into the homes of young children."

My 25 years of experience in the early childhood education industry, provides a valuable insight of the industry. This experience ranges from family child care provider, owner/director/lead teacher of a group childcare center, four-year-old kindergarten teacher and previous instructor experience at WITC of a 40-hour course.
What children learn in their most formative, early years will influence them for the rest of their lives. I believe that teaching has a ripple effect, and the early childhood education program at WITC is a model of excellence with innovative and practical opportunities for learning.
I look forward to witnessing the transformation from students into “the teachers of tomorrow.” To facilitate this transformation, I strive to create a community of learners in the classroom where everyone learns from and supports one another. I utilize planned discovery, where you will construct your own learning through planned, relevant activities.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband, children and grandchildren. I enjoy music, the outdoors, sewing and making soup.
