Program Outcomes

Individualized Technical Studies graduates will be able to:

  • Provide direction to the student in pursuit of specific occupational outcomes
  • Allow you to meet individual career goals which cannot be achieved through enrollment in any single instructional program currently available at the college
  • Meet the needs of students who want to pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree on either a full- or part-time basis
  • Help identify new and emerging occupations for new or modified programs

Academics

Complete 40 credit hours of individual technical studies from any of the departments of WITC. Twenty of the credits must focus in one discipline and be relevant to your identified career plan.

Curriculum

Plan to take 61-70 credit hours to complete your customized academic plan with a minimum of 20 focused on one discipline. A minimum of 25 percent of earned course requirements must be at WITC.

Admissions and Tuition

WITC has a simple three-step admissions process that can be completed in one visit. Fill out the application form either online or at a campus, complete an assessment and meet with a WITC counselor. In the meeting, you'll discuss your goals and the counselor will make sure you're getting the most out of your education and the best bang for your buck.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to help you pay for your education. It can come in the form of grants, loans, federal work study, military and veterans benefits, division of vocational rehabilitation benefits and scholarships.

Upon completion of the program, you will obtain an Individualized Technical Studies associate degree.
