Rock the Block, WITC Block Party, illustration of people hanging out in a park

Come join us!

Does anything say “dog days of summer” more than a rockin’ block party?

WITC-Rice Lake invites the community to its campus for an afternoon of live music, tasty treats and fun games for the whole family. The first annual Summer Block Party and Open House event will be on Tuesday, July 23, from four to six p.m.

WITC will open its doors to attendees for an opportunity to tour the WITC campus and state-of-the-art labs. Attendees can also learn more about WITC’s programs, admissions process, and options for paying for college as well as accommodations and veteran support. WITC’s instructors will also be hanging out with games, face painting and a silly photo booth for the family and information about their respective programs. Those who are interested can apply to WITC for free at the event.

What would a block party be without some tasty street eats? Basil Wyndthorp will be serving up a fun mix of food including Cuban sandwiches, gyros, pork tacos, cheeseburgers, pulled pork and truffle rosemary fries. Amber Miller’s Hot Italian food truck will be serving Chicago-style hot beef sandwiches.

Schu Strings, Dan Schullo’s one-man band, will be performing an eclectic mix of covers such as Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Violent Femmes, the Beatles and much more.

Admission to the event is free.

See you there!
