DOJ Handgun & Rifle Instructor Certification

Course Description: This 7 day/56 hour training will result in DOJ Certification as a handgun and rifle instructor for officers successfully completing the course. This is a comprehensive instructor training on the justification for the use of deadly force, and the function, disassembly, troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance, loading, unloading, reloading, malfunction clears, transition procedures in handgun and the modern police rifle. Marksmanship and combat firing will be at ranges of 1 to 200 yards.
This class will run June 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12
Students need to complete a DJ LE 336 showing completion of the 32 hour Instructor Development Course and submit a signed Competency Skills Checklist prior to the training.
Students must bring duty belt with handgun and at least 3 magazines, 500 rounds of handgun ammunition (ball ok), and a cleaning kit.
Patrol Rifle - at least 3 magazines, 500 rounds rifle ammunition (ball ok), and cleaning kit.
56 hours T&S credit.
Minimum 8 and class size will be limited to first 12 registered.
